Don't miss LA28 Olympic Baseball/Softball: Ticket Draw registration now open
Baseball and softball fans around the world now have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness history at the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028. Registration for the LA28 Ticket Draw* opened today, marking the first step toward securing tickets for the Games, which will be released in phases beginning later in 2026.
More than two decades after the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, baseball and softball enthusiasts will once again have the chance to experience Olympic competition in person. While the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were held largely behind closed doors, LA28 will welcome fans back to the stands as baseball and softball make their highly anticipated return to the Olympic programme.
Baseball will be played at the iconic Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, while softball will take place at OKC Softball Park. Fans will have the opportunity to see the world’s best athletes compete for Olympic gold on two of the sport’s most celebrated stages.
How the LA28 Ticket Draw works:
- Register for the Ticket Draw at tickets.la28.org.
- Receive an email notification if you are assigned a time slot during one of the ticket sales phases.
- Purchase tickets during your designated time slot.
Baseball competition schedule and format
The baseball competition at Dodger Stadium will begin on Thursday, 13 July 2028, the day before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. Competition will pause on Friday, 14 July, for the Opening Ceremony, before resuming on Saturday, 15 July, and continuing through Wednesday, 19 July. A total of 12 games will be played.
Six teams will participate in the tournament, divided into two groups.
Following the Group Stage:
- The second- and third-place teams in each group will advance to the Quarterfinals.
- The first-place teams will advance directly to the Semifinals.
- Semifinal winners will compete for the gold medal, while the losing teams will contest the bronze medal.

Softball competition schedule and format
The 17-game softball tournament will begin on Sunday, 23 July, at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. The Group Stage will feature a single group of six teams and will run through Thursday, 27 July.
At the conclusion of the Group Stage:
- The top two teams will compete for the gold medal.
- The third- and fourth-place teams will play in the bronze medal game.
The Bronze Medal Game is scheduled for Friday, 28 July, while the Gold Medal Game will take place on Saturday, 29 July, with first pitch set for 09:00 (Oklahoma local time).
