Cast your vote: Softball star Tiare Jennings in the running for The World Games Athlete of the Year 2025
USA Women’s National Softball Team member Tiare Jennings has been nominated for The World Games Athlete of the Year Award following her outstanding performance at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China. You can vote for Jennings here.
Jennings played a pivotal role in leading Team USA to the gold medal, delivering an exceptional offensive showing across five games. She recorded five RBIs, seven runs scored, eight hits and two home runs, earning Most Valuable Player honours in the softball competition. Jennings led the tournament in hits (8), runs scored (7) and at-bats (20), while posting a .400 batting average.
Fan voting for The World Games Athlete of the Year opened on Monday, 12 January 2026, and will run through Monday, 2 February 2026. A halfway elimination round will take place on 26 January 2026, at which point only the Top 10 ranked candidates will advance to the final stage.
The World Games Athlete of the Year Award recognises athletes for their exceptional sporting performances, as well as their contribution to the success and global visibility of their sport. The top three finishers will receive a trophy, a valuable prize, and extensive promotional support.
Voting Rules
- Voting is conducted via The World Games website, with a maximum of one voting session per 24 hours.
- Each voting session must include two candidates:
- First choice: 2 votes
- Second choice: 1 vote
- Votes cast for only one candidate will not be counted.
- On 26 January 2026 at 12:00 GMT, the 10 highest-ranked candidates will advance to the final voting stage and all vote totals will reset to zero.
- Vote tallies will be displayed in real time throughout the campaign.
