They might not have been there for baseball, but Juan Soto and Starling Marte were seen at loanDepot park in Miami on Saturday for a celebrity softball game.

Per Marc Tompkins of the Tampa Bay Times, the Tampa Bay Rays have hired Mets minor league manager Reid Brignac as their new coach at Triple-A Durham. Brignac was originally drafted by the Rays and played five seasons in the major leagues for the organization. Prior to being hired by Tampa Bay, he was a minor league coach with the Mets for five seasons.

Former Met Jeff Kent talked with former Mets public relations director Jay Horowitz about his relationship with Barry Bonds on Horowitz’ podcast, “Amazin’ Conversations.” Both Bonds and Kent are on the Hall of Fame ballot that will be decided on Sunday.
