Taiwan Professional Women's Softball League finals set to open on 25 October

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Taiwan Professional Women’s Softball League (TPWSL), the New Century Hornets and Jia-Nan Eagles are set to collide in the 2025 Championship Series, with the league title on the line.

The best-of-seven series will open on 25 October, featuring three games across the opening weekend, and conclude the following week with the remaining matchups.

The Jia-Nan Eagles earned a direct berth to the Championship Series after an outstanding 28–2 record in the regular season.

Meanwhile, the New Century Hornets, who finished fourth with a 15–15 record, battled their way through two playoff rounds to reach the Finals. In the opening series, the Hornets defeated the Caesar Warriors 2–1 to advance to the semifinals, where they clinched the series 3–1 against the Chao-Chi Pangolins to secure their spot in the Championship Series. Lin Feng-Chen was named MVP of the semifinals.

Led by Chinese Taipei national team aces Ke Hsia-Ai and Chen Ching-Yu, the Eagles will look to defend their crown. The Hornets, with Alyson Spinas Valainis in the circle and veteran outfielder Lin Feng-Chen — who was named to the All-World Team at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, where Chinese Taipei captured the silver medal — aim to continue their remarkable run and complete an impressive postseason sweep.

Games 1 and 2 will be played on Saturday, 25 October, at the Taichung International Softball Stadium, with Game 3 scheduled for Sunday, 26 October.
The series will resume on 1–2 November with Games 4 to 7 (if necessary).

All games will be live-streamed on the TPWSL Facebook Page.
