Canada, Japan, New Zealand & USA to tune up ahead of WBSC Men's Softball World Cup opener
Half of the squads participating in the WBSC Men's Softball World Cup Finals 2025 - which is set to begin next Tuesday in Prince Albert, Canada - will clash in a WBSC-sanctioned event called the Super 8 International Men’s Fast Pitch 4 Nations Cup in Saskatoon, Canada as final preparation for the global showdown,
World No. 3 Japan, No. 4 Canada, No. 6 USA and No. 8 New Zealand will take the field from 3 to 5 July at Bob Van Impe Stadium, located in the Gordie Howe Sports Complex, which previously hosted the Men's Softball World Cup in 1988, 2009 and 2015.
The tournament features six round-robin games followed by a bronze medal game and a final:
Thursday July 3rd
- 6:00 pm - Canada vs Japan
- 8:15 pm - New Zealand vs United States
Friday July 4th
- 6 :00 pm - USA vs Japan
- 8:15 pm - Canada vs New Zealand
Saturday July 5th
- 12:00 pm - New Zealand vs Japan
- 2:15 pm - Canada vs USA
- 5:00 pm - 3rd Place vs 4th Place
- 7:15 pm- 1st Place vs 2nd Place
Fans in the Saskatoon area can catch the action with daily tickets available at the gate for $20, while children get in free. A $50 event pass covers entry for the entire tournament. For global viewers, all games will be streamed live on YouTube.
