Vakhtang Norakidze unanimously elected Georgia Baseball Softball Federation President

The Georgian Baseball and Softball Federation elected former baseball player Vakhtang Norakidze as its new President. The delegates voted unanimously.

"First of all, I would like to thank the congress delegates and the baseball and softball family for their support and trust in electing me as President," Nokaridze commented. "Baseball is a truly special sport to me. I have been actively involved in baseball since the 1990s, and now I want to do my best with my team to develop the sport further."

The new President added: "We have important plans ahead. The main priorities and directions have been defined. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and our supporting partners, we will spare no effort to develop this unique sport for all of us. There are great challenges ahead."

Norakidze announced that his predecessor, Goga Datunashvili, will remain a Vice President on the Executive Board. He appointed Goga Datashvili and Sophio Khidasheli as Vice Presidents, Davit Khrikadze as Honorary President, and Revaz Shavladze as Secretary General. The Federation Board will consist of 11 members.
