Diablos Rojos win Mexican Softball League in front of 12,000 fans

Jazmyn Jackson went 3-for-3 with two home runs and drove in four runs to lead Diablos Rojos to a 5-0 victory over Sultanes Femenil, sweeping the Serie la Reina in three games and claiming the Mexican Softball League (LMS) title. The last game of the season was witnessed by 12,399 fans at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú, the highest attendance of the 2025 LMS season.

In Game One, Mia Davidson hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to turn the game around, leading Diablos Rojos to a 7-6 victory over Sultanes and take the lead at the 2025 Serie la Reina.

In the second game, Megan Faraimo pitched 5.0 innings without allowing an earned run to lead Diablos Rojos Femenil to a 6-4 victory over Sultanes, putting the red squad ahead 2-0 in the series.

Finally, Jackson stole the show in Game Three, hitting a pair of homers to lead her team to their first crown. Yilian Tornes tossed five scoreless innings, allowing three hits, walking three, and striking out seven. Faraimo came on in relief and pitched the final two scoreless innings. 

Jackson earned the MVP honours, and was awarded a GWM car, the official sponsor of the LMS. The USA National Team player earned the triple crown in the regular season, posting a .519 batting average, 32 RBIs and 10 home runs.

The three games of the Serie de la Reina attracted 26,889 fans to the stadiums, marking a new record for the league. The inaugural season had 19,831 fans in the stands, in four games. In addition, the regular season saw 230,445 softball fans go through the turnstiles.
