On Thursday, August 29, 2024 Australia, Canada and USA started the tournament with a victory and aim to mount a winning streak today. Philippines and USA face a doubleheader on Friday. In the first game, Mexico defeated Philippines, 6-4, in nine innings to open the day. In their second game of the day, Philippines beat Ireland 5-2. USA scored a run in their four at bats, including three consecutive three-run at bats, to triumph against Australia, 10-0, in four innings. The hosts will face Canada at 6:30pm.
