WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group B opening day games postponed due to rain
The WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group B was due to start on Wednesday with three games - Peru v Japan, Netherlands v Puerto Rico and China v Italy - however, due to rain, they have all been rescheduled over the following days.
Game #1 between Peru and Japan will be played at 14:00 on 17 August, Game #2 between Netherlands and Puerto Rico will be played at 14:00 on 15 August and Game #3 between China and Italy will be played at 14:00 on 16 August.
As a result of the rearranged schedule, five games will be played per day from 15 to 17 August, and the starting times of the games have been adjusted to 09:00, 11:30, 14:00, 16:30, and 19:00.

World No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 6 Netherlands, No. 7 Italy, No. 11 China, and No. 15 Peru are chasing two tickets to the Finals 2025 with Chinese Taipei and Czechia have already advanced from Group A in Brazil and Group C due to take place in Dallas, USA from 29 August to 2 September.
All games are available on GameTime, the official online streaming platform of the WBSC. Fans in China can watch the games via the Chinese Softball Association WeChat account, local sports streaming programming provider hupu.com, and miguvideo.com.
The venue, Pingtan Softball Stadium, was built in 2015 in time for the inaugural Youth Games of the People’s Republic of China and has become the newest international-standard softball stadium in China. The 100-million-RMB complex includes two fields (primary and secondary fields) and training grounds with approximately 5,000 spectator seats and a giant video board.
