NY Gremlins Walk It Off Against Bear Creek Express, 2-1

The New York Gremlins took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 2-1 walk-off victory over Bear Creek Express. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run. The Gremlins loaded the bases, with no outs, while the winning run scored with one out. Both teams were strong in the circle. NY Gremlins pitchers struck out 14, while Bear Creek Express sat down seven. A double by Erick Ochoa put NY Gremlins on the board in the bottom of the fifth. Brandon Horn singled, which helped Bear Creek Express tie the game at one in the top of the sixth. Jack Besgrove earned the win for NY Gremlins. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over eight innings, striking out 14 and walking one. Pami Madzulukwa took the loss for Bear Creek Express. The starting pitcher went seven and one-third innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on nine hits, striking out seven and walking three. Mathieu Roy, Ochoa, and Blake Hunter each collected two hits for NY Gremlins. Bryan Abrey and Ochoa each drove in one run for NY Gremlins. NY Gremlins turned one double play in the game. NY Gremlins were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Nick Mullins made the most plays with 15. Leadoff hitter Horn led Bear Creek Express with two hits in three at bats. Bear Creek Express turned one double play in the game.

Both teams were strong in the circle on Sunday, but NY Gremlins defeated AWP Lumberjacks 18O 2-0. Ty Sebastian started the game for NY Gremlins and recorded 12 outs. NY Gremlins didn’t take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the sixth when Cole Evans singled, scoring two runs. Jack Besgrove earned the win for NY Gremlins. The reliever allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking two. Brad Kilpatrick took the loss for AWP Lumberjacks 18O. They went six innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one. Sebastian began the game for NY Gremlins. They surrendered four hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking none. Evans provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led NY Gremlins with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Jerome Raemaki and Nick Mullins each collected two hits for NY Gremlins. NY Gremlins were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Mullins made the most plays with 15. Francisco Sabate, Federico Eder, Codi Pannebecker, and Valdemar Terkelsen each collected one hit for AWP Lumberjacks 18O. AWP Lumberjacks 18O didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ivan Sacks had the most chances in the field with 10.

They gave up seven hits and one run over six innings, striking out 12 and walking two. Enoka led Bear Creek Express with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day.
