Game 5 at Chiefs’ Challenge in Simcoe Ontario Canada – Hill United 8, Midland Explorers 2

The Hill United Chiefs dominated the Midland Explorers in a decisive 8-2 victory on Saturday, showcasing their offensive prowess and strong pitching. Michal Holobradek led the Chiefs with an impressive 10 strikeouts over five innings, allowing just two runs. The Chiefs’ offense ignited early, with Bradley Ezekiel launching a two-run homer in the first inning. Quinten Bruce and Lenny Villalvazo contributed key hits, including Villalvazo’s two-run blast in the fifth. Roman Godoy sealed the win with two scoreless relief innings. Despite Andre Hoover’s perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate, the Explorers couldn’t overcome Jon Gwizdola’s tough outing on the mound, surrendering eight runs over six innings. The Chiefs’ flawless defense and Luchi Biondi’s standout 15 plays further solidified their victory. Hill United looks to carry this momentum into their upcoming match against SKT Fastball.

MICHAL HOLOBRADEK struck out 10 batters as they led HILL UNITED CHIEFS past Midland Explorers 8-2 on Saturday. HOLOBRADEK allowed six hits and two runs over five innings while walking two.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS were the first to get on the board in the first when BRADLEY EZEKIEL homered to center field, scoring two runs.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when QUINTEN BRUCE singled, scoring two runs, and LENNY VILLALVAZO hit into a double play, but one run scored.

VILLALVAZO homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth for the HILL UNITED CHIEFS.

Jon Gwizdola took the loss for Midland Explorers. They went six innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits, striking out seven and walking three. ROMAN GODOY pitched two innings of no-run ball for HILL UNITED CHIEFS in relief. The reliever surrendered one hit, striking out five and walking one.

EZEKIEL, BRUNO MOTRONI, and BRUCE each collected two hits for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. EZEKIEL and VILLALVAZO each drove in two runs for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. HILL UNITED CHIEFS were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. LUCHI BIONDI made the most plays with 15.

Andre Hoover led Midland Explorers with three hits in three at bats. Pete Miklovic and Hoover each drove in one run for Midland Explorers. Midland Explorers turned one double play in the game.

Next up for HILL UNITED CHIEFS is a game at SKT FASTBALL on Saturday.
