Dominican Republic vs. Venezuela (Final):
The Dominican Republic emerged victorious over Venezuela with a 2-0 win in the final, securing their spot in the Men’s Softball World Cup Finals 2025. Yan Carlos Gonzalez Diaz, the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, was the winning pitcher for the Dominican Republic. He delivered an exceptional performance, pitching a complete game shutout while striking out 11 batters and allowing only four hits and one walk.

The Dominican Republic’s offense was led by José Alejandro Reyes Rosario, who went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Juan Arias contributed with a 2-for-3 performance, driving in a run and drawing a walk. Elias Alberto Valerio Ayala reached base three times, going 1-for-1 with two walks and a run scored. Wilton Robles Villafaña had an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Venezuela’s starting pitcher, Maiker Josue Pimentel Sivira, took the loss despite a solid outing. He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out seven over 4.1 innings. Luis Miguel Colombo Perez pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief, giving up one hit and two walks with one strikeout.

Venezuela’s offense struggled against Gonzalez Diaz, managing only four hits in the game. Angel Adames, Rogelio Sequera, Luiger Orlando Pinto Suarez, and Rafael Flores each had one hit for Venezuela.

Defensively, the Dominican Republic turned three double plays, with Juan Arias involved in two of them.

Australia vs. Mexico:
Australia triumphed over Mexico with a score of 4-1. Jack Besgrove was the winning pitcher for Australia, showcasing his skills with an impressive 16-strikeout performance. Besgrove allowed just three hits, one run, and one walk over 7 innings. Carlos Alejandro Parra Gonzalez was the losing pitcher for Mexico, giving up four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out 13 over 6 innings.

Australia’s offense was led by Hayden Mathews, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Brendon O’Byrne also contributed with a double and two RBIs, going 1-for-3 on the day. Scott Patterson scored a run and stole a base, while Callum Beashel went 1-for-3 and scored a run.

For Mexico, Junior Alexis Flores Del Valle drove in the team’s only run, going 1-for-3. Abelardo Penuelas had Mexico’s only other hit and stolen base, finishing 1-for-2. Jesus Rene Cardona Bustamante scored Mexico’s lone run and drew a walk.

Australia vs. Venezuela:
Australia claimed another 4-1 victory against Venezuela. Jack Besgrove was once again the star, striking out 16 while allowing only two hits and one run. Mark Harris and Callum Beashel contributed crucial RBIs to secure the win. Venezuela’s Maiker Pimentel, pitching for the second time in the day, could not stop Australia’s momentum.

Czechia vs. Philippines (5th Place Game):
Czechia narrowly defeated the Philippines 3-2 in an extra-inning thriller to secure fifth place in the tournament. The game was tied in the sixth inning when David Jaluška hit a solo home run for Czechia. In the eighth inning, Jaluška came through again for his team, hitting a walk-off RBI double to secure the victory.

Czechia’s offense was led by David Jaluška, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBIs. Patrik Kope?ný also contributed with a solo home run, going 1-for-3 with a walk. Mikuláš Klas had a multi-hit game, finishing 2-for-3 with a double.

For the Philippines, Melvin De Castro drove in both of the team’s runs, going 2-for-4 with a double. Francis Generoso and Denmark Bathan each scored a run for the Philippines.

Philippines’ starting pitcher Rey Casalla Aliling gave way to Jehanz Maristela Coro who pitched 5 innings, allowing two runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Juliuz Rosh Dela Cruz took the loss in relief, giving up one run on one hit and one walk with three strikeouts over 2 innings.

Czechia’s Jakub Osi?ka started the game and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits with eight strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Michal Holobrádek earned the win in relief, pitching 2.2 perfect innings with four strikeouts.

Czechia turned three double plays in the game.
