Lesotho opens Men's and Women's softball season

The Lesotho Baseball and Softball Association (LBSA) opened the 2024 softball season at the Gills playground in Morija, a city in the Maseru District near the border with South Africa.

Four teams participated in the event. Gills participated with their men's and women's teams. The Gladiators were the second men's team, and the Queens were the second women's team.

The Gills defeated the Gladiators, 7-5, while the Queens beat the Gills 26-5.

LBSA president Tseliso Lemphane expressed satisfaction for a successful event: "We noticed improvement, and the players performed well. We also saw improvement among the umpiring crew."

The WBSC African Development project reached Lesotho in 2019.
