AKRON — Anthony Wayne's superb softball season came to a disappointing end on Friday night, as the third-ranked Generals surrendered the game's first run on a daring base-running gamble by Pataskala Watkins Memorial in a 2-0 loss to the Warriors in a Division I state semifinal at Firestone Stadium in Akron.
