"Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia": WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals promo video released

<p>The <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-womens-softball-world-cup-finals/home"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">XVII WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals</span></strong></a> local organising committee released a promo video, with stunning images from Friuli Venezia Giulia region and a welcome message from Massimiliano Fedriga, Friuli Giulia Venezia region president. The video premiered at the WBSC Europe Congress in Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain on Saturday.</p>

<p>After hosting <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/events/2023-xvii-womens-softball-world-cup-group-c/home"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Group C</span></strong></a> last year (along with Buttrio), the Stadio Comunale in Castions di Strada will stage the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals from 15 to 21 July, with four games scheduled each day. Group A includes world No. 1 USA, No. 5 Canada, host No. 6 Italy, and No. 15 China. Group B features No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 8 Netherlands, and No. 10 Australia. <p>The XVII WBSC Women's Softball World Cup marks the first time that Italy host a Softball World Cup. It's also the second time the Women's Softball World Cup visits Europe, after the Netherlands organised the biggest women's softball event in the world in 2014. Last year, Ireland and Spain joined Italy as hosts of the Group Stage.</p>
