USA Softball U-18 Women's National Team roster announced to host World Cup group in Dallas

<p>USA, holder of the three women's softball world titles (U-15, U-18, and senior), aims to win its fifth consecutive U-18 Women's Softball World Championship, keeping alive the second-longest current streak of consecutive titles in any <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/organisation/wbsc-events/world-champions"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">WBSC World Cup</span></strong></a>, second only to Japan's six titles at the Women's Baseball World Cup.</p>

<p>At the helm of the&nbsp;USA Softball&nbsp;U-18&nbsp;National Team&nbsp;will be head coach Kyla Holas who previously guided the U-15&nbsp;team&nbsp;to three tournament wins during the 2023 season, including a 7-1 campaign at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup that put the Eagles on top of the podium.&nbsp;She also coached the 2021 team that won gold at the latest U-18 Women's Softball World Cup in Lima, Peru.</p>

<p>The 16-player roster is set to take on the international competition in Dallas, Texas for the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage event – the first in its history to be played under the new two-stage format where the Group Stage and the Finals will be held in consecutive years.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-ii-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-stage-dallas/news/dallas-usa-to-host-wbsc-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-in-2024-finals-2025"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">By hosting a group of the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage</span></strong></a>, world No. 1 USA became the 10th qualified nation for the tournament.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first of its kind to be identified from the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) National Selection Event, the U-18 WNT roster was chosen by the USA Softball Junior Women’s National Selection Committee (JWNTSC).&nbsp;The selected athletes worked their way through identifiers on the local and national level to represent the Red, White and Blue — hailing from 11 different states and eight USA Softball regions.</p>
