Swiss baseball/softball celebrates Awards Night

<p>The Swiss Baseball and Softball Federation (<strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="SBSF (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/members/profile/baseball/35/1" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">SBSF</span></a></strong>) celebrated its <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Awards Night (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.swiss-baseball.ch/verband/awards-night/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Awards Night</span></a></strong> at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Zurich.</p>

<p>In the baseball top division (NLA, National Liga A) the Therwil Flyers won three out of four awards. Takanabu Oshima earned MVP honours, Sven Leemann was awarded as the leading batter and Ferlon Gijsbertha was named the best pitcher. James Sanders of the 2023 champions Zurich Challengers earned the playoffs MVP Award.</p>

<p>Kim Zehnder, who led the Wittenbach Panthers to the 2023 Women's Softball NLA title, won both the regular season and the playoffs MVP Awards. Jody Fischer (Zurich Barracudas) was named the leading batter and Rio Sanchez (Lucern Eagles) earned best pitcher's honours.</p>
