[Softball] SXU Softball Starts CCAC Play with DH Sweep of IU South Bend

South Bend, Ind. – The Saint Xavier University softball team (15-9/2-0 CCAC), play for the first time in over two weeks, started Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) competition with a sweep of Indiana University South Bend Tuesday afternoon in South Bend, Ind. Junior designated player Alexus Reese (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) homered and drove in two runs to aid junior pitcher Laila Summers (Joliet, Ill./Providence Catholic), who threw her ninth complete game of the season in a 4-1 victory in game one. Senior outfielder Lyda Robinson (Seneca, Ill./Seneca) was 3-for-4 with two RBI in game two to help sophomore pitcher Julianne Claas (Menomonee, Falls, Wis./Hamilton) earn the win in 7-5 triumph in game two.
