[Softball] Lovato Sets Steals Record as No. 25 SXU Wins Two in Alabama

Gulf Shores, Ala. – Senior outfielder Nicole Lovato (Channahon, Ill./Minooka Community) stole five bases in an 8-0 victory for No. 25 Saint Xavier University softball (9-5/0-0 CCAC) in game two over Central Baptist College (Ark.) in the Gulf Shores Tournament at the Sportsplex in Gulf Shores, Ala. Saturday morning to set the single-game record for most steals in SXU history. She also had a pair of steals in a 13-5 win in five innings over No. 23 Webber International University (Fla.) in game one. Lovato surpassed the record set by her teammate senior outfielder Lyda Robinson (Seneca, Ill./Seneca) when she swiped four bases in a victory over Lourdes University (Ohio) on March 9, 2020.
