WBSC Softball Hall of Fame member, Australian Bob Harrow passes away

Bob Harrow, softball head coach who guided Australia to their only men’s softball world championship in 2009, passed away on Thursday, 21 July, in Canberra, Australia, at 77. Harrow, father of Laing -- currently head coach of the women’s softball national team who led the team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics -- was inducted into the WBSC Softball Hall of Fame in 2011.

A true pioneer of softball in Australia, Harrow dedicated 20 years of service to Softball, and had an enormous impact on Australia’s elite men’s and women’s programs. he led the Australian Men’s team as Head Coach from 2000-2018 and took them to their first World Championship in Saskatoon 2009.
