LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Friends University junior Laila Spracklen and freshman Priscilla Mora have each earned the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NAIA All-Region III honor as second-team selections, the organization has announced.

Both first-team All-KCAC performers, Spracklen and Mora were each critical to the Falcons' success this season which culminated in a KCAC tournament championship and an NAIA Opening Round berth.

A dynamic two-way player, Spracklen struck out a KCAC-high 229 batters on the season while ranking second in the conference in wins (19) and third in ERA (2.33).

At the plate, the San Diego, Calif. native finished second on the team in batting average (.355), home runs (eight) and RBIs (34).

In the Falcons' first game of the NAIA Opening Round, Spracklen flashed both her hitting and pitching prowess by hitting a sacrifice fly for the go-ahead tally in the eighth inning. She also allowed just one earned run on two hits while striking out six to hand No. 3-ranked Freed-Hardeman University just their fourth loss of the season to that point.

A native of Beaumont, Calif., Mora made an immediate impact as a freshman for the Falcons.

Mora slugged a team-high 10 homers that were tied for first in the KCAC and finished second in the league in RBIs (44). She batted .338 on the season and also led the Falcons in hits (51) and slugging percentage (.662).

For all her hitting heroics, it was Mora's glove that factored heavily in the KCAC tourney title game. With the Falcons leading McPherson College 1-0 and the tying run on first base with two outs, Mora got a good jump on a tailing line drive by Summer Garcia and made a diving catch in left field to clinch the championship for the Falcons.

Spracklen and Mora helped the Falcons wrap up their season 10 games above .500 with a 31-21 overall mark.
