[Softball] No. 24 SXU Softball Stays Hot; Takes Two from Trinity Christian
CHICAGO – Senior catcher Brittany Schultz (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) led the offensive attack in game one, a 13-5 win in six innings, by finishing a double shy of the cycle and driving in five runs and junior designated player Maggie Bailey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) hit a three-run home run and collected four RBI in a 10-2 win in game two as No. 24 Saint Xavier University softball (19-5, 8-0 CCAC) swept the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) doubleheader vs. Trinity Christian College (Ill.) Tuesday afternoon at the SXU Softball Field in Chicago, Ill. It's the 10th time this season that the SXU offense has produced 10 or more runs and the fourth consecutive game that they've plated at least 10 runs. It is also the first time since the 2008 season that Saint Xavier has won four straight games with a minimum of 10 runs scored.
