The Steel City Softball League would like to honor all of our fellow siblings within the Transgender, Non-Binary, Genderqueer, and Gender-Nonconforming community with celebrating #TransgenderDayOfVisibility.
We see you, we respect you, we love you, and you are our family. 
We encourage everyone to not only love and support those within Transgender, Non-Binary, Genderqueer, and Gender-Nonconforming community, but to give back. We are proud to have the SisTers PGH Community Center as a sponsor, and their mission and vision are clear.
Mission: SisTers PGH is a BLACK and TRANS led non-profit organization that serves POC, trans, and nonbinary people within Southwestern PA.
Vision: The SisTers PGH Community Center was created to aid and rehabilitate transgender, POC, and impoverished individuals, as well as those that have been victimized by a restrictive and oppressive society that continues to marginalize them. By educating both our communities and the public through outreach and advocacy, we help to empower trans people within their communities
More Info: International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual holiday occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide. The holiday was founded by Michigan-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBT holidays celebrating transgender people, citing the frustration that the only well-known transgender-centered holiday was the Transgender Day of Remembrance which mourned the loss of transgender people to hate crimes, but did not acknowledge and celebrate living members of the transgender community.
