Hsia-Ai Ke outduels Czech ace Kindermmanova, sends Chinese Taipei to Softball U-18 World Championship Final

<p>Chinese Taipei beat the Czech Republic, 1-0, to secure a spot in Sunday's WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Final, with the title of world champion in the line. Starter Hsia-Ai Ke tossed a gem to outduel Katerina Kindermmanova.</p>

<p>Hsia-Ai Ke pitched a three-hit complete game shutout, striking out six with no walks. She has a 0.67 ERA for the tournament with three wins and no losses after 21 innings of work.</p>

<p>The lone run of the game came in the bottom of the fourth inning. Chi-Yun Lin doubled to lead off the inning, and one out later Hsin-Yun Li drove her in with a single up the middle.</p>

<p>Czech ace Kindermmanova struck out eight in six innings, giving up five hits and one run in the game, to get her second loss of the tournament. </p>

<p>Chinese Taipei remains unbeaten after six games, and will face USA in the World Championship Final on Sunday, 4 p.m. local time. Czech Republic records three wins and three losses and tomorrow will take on Puerto Rico vying for a spot in the Bronze Medal Game.</p>
