Africa: Burkina Faso crowns women’s softball cup champions

<p>The Central League team is the first champion of the Women’s Softball Cup. They defeated host team Hauts-Bassins, 12-4, in a winner-takes-all final on Saturday, 25 September. The event was hosted by Burkina Faso Baseball and Softball Federation (FBBS).</p>

<p>The teams, made of the best of their regional clubs, played the final in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso's second-largest city.</p>

<p>Sita Traore of the Hauts-Bassins team was named best athlete of the competition, while Central League’s Rama Sinare was the best hitter.</p>

<p>The FBBS took advantage of the ceremony to donate equipment to the Hauts-Bassins league.</p>
