[Softball] Golic Fires Fifth No-Hitter of 2021; No. 14 SXU sweeps CSU

Glendale, Wis. – Senior pitcher Allison Golic (Mentor, Ohio/Eastern Illinois/Mentor) posted her fifth No-Hitter of the season and the sixth of her career in a 5-0 victory for No. 14 Saint Xavier University softball (26-1, 15-1 CCAC) in game one over Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) Sunday afternoon in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action in Glendale, Wis. Golic tallied a season-high 17 strikeouts and improved her overall record to 16-1. The bats came to life in game two as SXU hammered out a season-best seven doubles en route to a 10-1 win in six innings. The six No-Hitters by Saint Xavier this year are the most in the regular season in program history. The 2016 staff tossed eight No-Hitters, with five in the regular season, two in the CCAC Tournament and one in the NAIA Opening Round.
