Women’s Student-Athlete of the Week: ALC Softball Graduating Seniors

We award the Women’s Student-Athlete of the Week honor to softball graduating seniors Alyssa Clark, Jada Estep, and Samantha Sturgill. The trio just played their final home game this week.

Clark (Gate City, VA) is currently batting .386, and is currently 3^rd in the NCCAA in RBI’s, with 38, and 9th in the NCCAA in hits (49).

Estep (Hyden, KY) is batting .341 with 28 RBI’s and leads the NCCAA in triples, with 5.  She is also currently 2^nd in the NCCAA in runs scored (41), and tied for 3^rd in both home runs (7), and stolen bases (20).

Sturgill (Big Stone Gap, VA) is batting .341 with 14 RBI’s and 7 doubles.

The three ladies have already helped the squad shatter the school record for victories in a season (19), and the team still has several regular-season games to play, in addition to post-season action.
