[Softball] SU Sweeps USK to Open Cal Pac Play

Simpson opened the week back-to-back non-conference doubleheaders on the road, and then returned home and capped the week with back-to-back sweeps over Saint Katherine to start California Pacific Conference play with four wins.  The Red Hawks (4-0 in the Cal Pac and 13-9 overall) battled the Firebirds (0-4, 2-20) over the first three games, winning all three by a total margin of just five runs, but the SU bats opened up behind a three-hit gem from Sydney Moorhead in the finale as they completed the sweep with an 8-0 win.  In two games against USK, Moorhead did not allow an earned run in 13 innings of work, striking out 13 and walking one.
