Tokyo Olympics: Ota Stadium named baseball/softball training venue
Ota Stadium will be used from 5 July to 10 August as the official training venue for baseball and softball at this summer's Tokyo Olympic Games.
The facility features a fully artificial-grass surface and was built in 1995. The 3,223-seat stadium underwent renovation and reopened on July 1, 2019.

Ota is a special ward located in Tokyo Metropolis. It is often referred to as Ōta City and has an estimated population of 716,413. Haneda Airport, the main domestic airport for the Greater Tokyo Area, is located in Ota. It used to be the major international airport for Tokyo and handled traffic for the 1964 Olympics.

The 34,000-seat Yokohama Stadium -- home of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars -- will serve as the main venue for baseball and softball at the Tokyo Olympic Games. It will host the softball medal games on 27 July, and the baseball medal games on 7 August.

Softball, one of 339 official medal events featured at the Games, will have the honour of getting the Olympics going with opening games at Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium on 21 July.
