[Softball] Rio softball notches sweep of No. 21 Eagles

    WALESKA, Ga. - After learning while en route to Georgia that their scheduled doubleheader with No. 9-ranked Truett-McConnell University on Saturday was called off due to wet grounds, the University of Rio Grande did the next best thing.
    They took out their frustrations on another ranked opponent.
    Head coach Chris Hammond hastily arranged a twinbill with 21st-ranked Reinhardt University - whom the RedStorm were already scheduled to face on Sunday afternoon anyway - and his squad came away with a sweep of the Eagles by scores of 3-2 and 5-3 at Ken White Softball Field.
    Rio Grande improved to 4-1 with the victories.
    Reinhardt, which had a six-game winning streak stopped with the opening game loss, finished the day at 10-4.
