All In: Waiting the hardest part for softball’s big year

The year 2020 was poised to be a big one for softball.
The Women’s College World Series in the home of softball — Oklahoma City — was scheduled to be played May 28 through June 3. The city was set to unveil its renovated USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium, increasing the capacity of the nation’s softball mecca.
According to the USA Softball website, the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium complex attracts about 70,000 fans each year to watch the WCWS. A record-breaking 78,361 fans attended last year over the course of the 15-game event.
