Peru and Chinese Taipei do as expected on Day 3, but the rain…
The schedule of day 3 of the WBSC U-12 Mixed Softball World Cup features two more double header match ups but was the rain to steal the scene.
Only the two morning games too place with Peru winning over Indonesia 11 – 3 and Chinese Taipei dominating also the Czech Republic 8-0.
The Indonesian finally, caught a break and scored the first runs of their tournament in the bottom of the third inning with Harmoko, Kamini, and Tjondronegoro, while the other game Chinese Taipei put out another solid performance offensively and defensively.
Right after the start of the third game a heavy tropical shower interrupted the game at the bottom of the first inning.
The rain continued and forced the organisers to reschedule both afternoon games to tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will then be the decisive final day of the group stage. Czech Republic and Peru will battle for a place in the final game for the title of world champion against host Chinese Taipei, the loser will compete for bronze against Indonesia.
