Softball this evening! Windsor tournament next weekend!

0 3

Hi Beachcombers,

It’s another beautiful day! Perfect weather for some softball! Come and join us at Preston Park from 6pm. As always, new players are very welcome to come along! Afterwards we’ll be heading up to the Park View pub for a post-game drink. All are welcome!

We had another great session with Trans Can Sport on Monday! Thanks to those of you came along to help out. We have the last of our four sessions coming up next Monday and we’ll need some volunteers once again to help out. Find out more below.

Our next tournament is the Windsor Tournament which takes place NEXT WEEKEND (13-14 July) at Farnham Park in Slough. This is an excellent tournament and it’s always great fun. We even get to play on the proper fenced fields with dirt infields, dugouts and all! It’s certainly one not to be missed. We still need some players for this, so if you’d like to play, please fill in the form using the link below.

Trans Can Sport

Last year we ran two softball taster sessions for Trans Can Sport. They were very popular, so we teamed up with them again to run four more softball sessions for Trans Can Sport this season. We’ve had three sessions so far and they’ve been very well received by the attendees. These sessions are for members of Trans Can Sport to attend, but we need some volunteers to help out. If you can help out at our last session next Monday, please let us know as soon as possible! The session will take place at our usual field in Preston Park, starting at 6:30pm.

What is Trans Can Sport?

Trans Can Sport is a not-for-profit project based in Brighton and Hove. It was created to get trans people into exercise and healthy living, and aims to help anyone who feels their transgender identity makes participating in sport difficult, including people who are questioning or exploring their gender. We also welcome their friends, families and allies.

Trans people want to engage in activities, both sporting and social, like everyone else. Trans Can Sport was formed to provide a safe space to allow these things to happen in a supportive, friendly and non-competitive environment.

You can find out more on their website: www.transcansport.co.uk
