Gabbie Cox and her Ichabod Crane softball teammates have been on the big stage before and have displayed the moxie of a championship team able to deliver in the big moment.
For Cox, Saturday's Class B state semifinal and possible championship game at Moreau Recreational Park in South Glens Falls signals a culmination to her softball career and the Rider senior shortstop is hoping to finish the day with Ichabod Crane's second straight state championship.
Ichabod Crane (22-1) faces Section I champ Ardsley (23-3) in one of two semifinal matchups – Oneida and Eden is the other semi – at 11:30 a.m. with the winners squaring off at 4 p.m. for the title.
