[Athletics] Little, Van Roy Tabbed Academic All-District

Talon Little and Jordan Van Roy were recognized today by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) as Academic All-District III selections. Little, a member of the Doane Baseball team, was one of 12 players selected to First Team honors while Van Roy, a member of the Softball team, was one of 13 players selected to First Team honors.

Little, a sophomore from Lincoln, Neb. (Lincoln Northeast HS), was an all-conference selection this year for the Tigers. He hit .281 for the year with 16 doubles, five home runs, and 40 runs batted in. His 16 doubles tied for 3rd most in a single-season at Doane.

Van Roy, a senior from Elkhorn, Neb. (Papillion-LaVista HS), is a repeat selection to the honor. An all-conference selection in 2019, she batted .373 with a team-best 15 doubles, six triples, and five home runs. She added 25 runs batted in to go with a .669 slugging percentage. She graduates with a number of school records including 45 career doubles, 13 career triples, and single-season records for hits (in 2018) and triples (in 2019).
