[Softball] Tigers split opening day, must rally for MSC title chance

Georgetown College softball played two great games to start the Mid-South Conference tournament in Bowling Green, Ky. Unfortunately, it was a split day overall and thus now must rally out of the elimination bracket for a chance to win the title.

The Tigers now face University of the Cumberlands at 8:30 pm ET looking to advance to the elimination bracket semifinal Sunday. LWC and Campbellsville University will play the winner's bracket final Sunday, followed by the final two elimination bracket games. Championship day is set for Monday.

Rains played havoc with the early schedule, pushing everything back three hours, but once the Tigers (26-20) took the field it was all business. GC took care of Cumberland University (26-21) in a 5-2 win, turning around and losing a tough one 2-1 to No. 5 Lindsey Wilson College (44-2) in the night game.
