[Softball] Jaguars grab opening win at RRAC tournament

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars were limited to just four hits, but took advantage of key situation Friday to open the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Championship with a 4-1 win over the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs.

The Jaguars, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, improved to 38-1 on the season, and will face Texas A&M Texarkana, a 3-1 iwinner over LSU-Alexandria in a semifinal game on Saturday at 3:15 p.m.

Jarvis falls to 16-18 and will face Our Lady of the Lake in an elimination game on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., while LSUA will face Huston-Tillotson in the other elimination game at 12:45 p.m.
