[Women's Soccer] CSM soccer signs Janousek
OMAHA, Neb. – Shiann Janousek of Fremont, Neb., signed on to become a Flame.
The daughter of Joseph and Marta Janousek signed her letter of intent Monday to continue her education and soccer career with College of Saint Mary. The 5-11 defenseman is currently a senior at Boys Town High School.
Janousek has played soccer, softball, basketball and volleyball during her high school career and has been team captain in multiple sports. She says her greatest sports moment to date is "making the starting varsity team and lettering as a freshman" in soccer.
Her favorite sports hero is Kevin Durant and outside of sports she enjoys ATV riding, fishing and hunting. She plans to study nursing at CSM.
"I chose CSM because I like the smaller school and community and they have a very good nursing program," Janousek said.
Flames' Coach Jordan Irsik is looking forward to having Janousek on the team.
"I'm excited for Shiann to join us in the fall," Irsik said. "She will be a great teammates on and off the field. She loves CSM and will be an asset to both the school and the team."
