[Softball] Softball splits first two games of Grand Prairie Softball Invitational
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Kansas Wesleyan softball split its first two games of a tournament hosted by Southern Collegiate Sports at Jennifer McFalls Park on Friday.
The Coyotes first faced Hastings College. Wesleyan faced an 8-0 deficit in the third inning of the game, but rallied, hitting five homeruns to rally for a 13-10 win over the Broncos.
Wesleyan then faced NAIA Preseason No. 1 ranked Oklahoma City, falling to the Stars 7-3 in the second game.
Additional details and statistics of Friday's games are not available, due to the tournament host not providing official statistics for any of the games.
The tournament continues on Saturday as KWU faces Morningside at 9 a.m., then faces No. 2 ranked USAO at 1:15.
