[Softball] Tiger Softball Set To Make 2019 Debut

The Central Christian College of Kansas softball team had to wait a little longer than they wanted to, as their season opening series against Ecclesia College was cancelled due to weather. But now, they finally get their chance to get out on the field and show the fans what they have in store. The Tigers travel down to Winfield, Kansas, for a doubleheader versus Southwestern College.

Coach Aaron Annis's roster features 10 returning players, 8 of which saw regular playing time last season, as well as a talented group of new faces. This will be an extremely young team, with 15 freshmen and 10 sophomores on the roster, with just 2 juniors and 1 senior, all three of which are incoming transfers.

Coach Annis gave his outlook for the upcoming season, saying, "This year is going to be different. New team, new faces added to the program. We have a lot of talent this year and I'm expecting this to be the start of our turn around season. With more speed in the outfield and a few power hitters added to the line-up, I expect us to make it back to the SAC Tourney again this year in the middle of the pack."
