[Softball] No. 16 Grand View Softball Heads to Oklahoma City for NAIA Championships Opening Round
Des Moines, IA – BRACKET | LIVE VIDEO | TOURNAMENT STATS | OCU VISITORS GUIDE | - No. 16 Grand View softball (48-6) will compete in one of ten opening-round tournaments for a berth in the 38th annual NAIA Softball World Series on May 25-31 in Clermont, Fla. The Vikings will travel to Oklahoma City May 14-16 to compete in the Oklahoma City Bracket at Ann Lacy Stadium.
The Vikings earned an automatic bid into the tournament after capturing the 2018 Heart of America Athletic Conference regular-season title. Grand VIew continued to dominate the conference, bringing home the tournament title as well.
Grand View will join No. 2 Oklahoma City University, Tabor College, and Eastern Oregon University in a battle to earn the bid to the NAIA Softball World Series.

Oklahoma City University Stars
The Stars enter the NAIA Championships with a 48-7 record, which includes a 23-1 mark at home. They won all four games of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament by a combined score of 39-1. OCU ranks No. 2 in the NAIA Softball Final Coaches' Poll with 468 votes, moving up from its previous No. 5 ranking.
Eastern Oregon Mountaineers
Eastern Oregon rolls of three-straight one-run wins in elimination games to advance to their conference tournament finals and earn the conference's second automatic berth to nationals posting a 26-22 record.
Tabor College Bluejays
The Bluejays come into the tournament with a 28-18 record and are the co-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season champions while winning the tournament last weekend. Tabor is receiving votes in the NAIA Softball Final Coaches' Poll with six votes. The school resides in Hillsboro, Kansas.
