[Softball] Tigers fall short in championship
Builds impressive resume for potential qualifier bid
Georgetown College softball continued to build an impressive resume this season, battling No. 4 Campbellsville University in the Mid-South Conference Tournament championship. The GC Tigers have played five games with the CU Tigers, only losing by a total of six runs.
Monday in Bowling Green, Ky. it was a 10-inning affair. Campbellsville (45-8) struck first, but GC (34-17) rallied and even took a lead in the top of the 10th before falling, 3-2, off a bloop RBI single.
Both pitchers controlled the game in different ways. Hannah Morton force 17 pop fly outs with one ground out, while Neely Quint had 13 ground outs and six pop fly outs.
