[Softball] Tigers claw through elimination bracket, head to finals

Georgetown College softball showed its grit and moxie in the final two games of the elimination bracket Sunday in Bowling Green, Ky. With three wins on the day, GC (34-16) advances to championship Monday of the 2018 Mid-South Conference Tournament at Michael O. Buchanon Park. It is the two Tigers squaring off. Georgetown plays Campbellsville University 5 pm EDT with an if necessary game to immediately follow. GC's Tigers need to win twice on Monday for the tournament crown.

In game two Sunday, Georgetown trailed 2-0 after the first half of an inning against Cumberland University before rallying to win 8-5. Then this group did something a GC team has not done since 2012 – beat Lindsey Wilson College.
