THIS WEEK

· The Dakota State University (S.D.) Trojan Softball team (19-28 overall record) looks to extend their 2018 season in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Softball Conference Tournament this weekend.

· The Trojans are the No. 5 seed for the conference postseason tournament, facing No. 4 seed Bellevue (Neb.) (31-21 overall record) in the opening round of the Gold Bracket.

· First pitch is set for 12 p.m. at Players Softball Complex (13175 County Road) in Aberdeen, S.D.

· The NSAA Softball Tournament continues through Sunday, with Monday with an 'if necessary' game.  The winner of the conference tournament receives the automatic bid to the NAIA Softball National Tournament Opening Round, which is set for May 14-16.
