[Softball] Madonna Takes Top Seed in Softball Tournament

SYLVANIA, Ohio - (BRACKET) - The bracket is set for the 2018 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Tournament May 2-4 at Pacesetter Park with Madonna as the top seed. The Crusaders tied with Aquinas for the regular-season championship with 15-5 WHAC records and were awarded the No. 1 seed based on the league's tiebreaker procedure. The teams split head-to-head and MU held the advantage in run differential. Siena Heights takes the No. 3 seed with UNOH at No. 4. Lawerence Tech and Indiana Tech tied at 11-9 for fifth and LTU won the tie breaker with a 2-0 head-to-head record. UM-Dearborn came in at No. 7 and the final spot was decided by a tiebreaker as well. Concordia nudged Cornerstone with a plus 3 on run differential. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's second automatic berth to nationals.
