[Softball] Aquinas, Madonna Tie for Softball Championship

The 2018 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) softball season standings ended in a tie for first place between Aquinas and Madonna. The two both posted 15-5 league records during a season that was hampered by Mother Nature with rain and snow. It's the seventh championship for both squads and the third time Madonna has tied for the regular-season championship. 

The teams were tied going into Saturday's finale. Madonna took the first game 4-2 to take the advantage in the standings, but Aquinas battled back in the nightcap to win 5-4 to share the championship. Due to the league's tiebreaker policy, Madonna receives the WHAC's first automatic berth to the NAIA Softball National Championship.
