[Softball] Trevecca Softball | Trojans Drop Two to Cedarville; Play Ohio Dominican on Saturday
CEDARVILLE, OH – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (23-11-1, 9-5 Great Midwest) lost a pair of games from conference rival Cedarville University (21-11, 10-2 Great Midwest). The first, a 3-0 loss, and the second, a 5-4 loss in eight innings.

Yellow Jacket pitcher Morgan Arbogast held the Trojans to three hits in the game … Cedarville scored on run in the fourth on a single up the middle and they scored two runs in the fifth on a bunt single and a fielders choice to give them the 3-0 victory
GAME TWO
In the third the Trojans got the scoring started on a Tana Whited (SO/Lebanon, TN) single through the left side to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead … TNU again scored in the fourth on a MaKray Odom (SO/McEwen, TN) triple scoring Maddux Reid (JR/Bourbonnais, IL) for a 2-0 lead … Cedarville responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game 2-2 … the top of the fifth Caitlyn Hudgins (JR/Springfield, TN) hit a two RBI double to center scoring Ali Birchfield (SO/Trenton, GA) and Savannah Carr (JR/Springfield, TN) to give Trevecca a 4-2 lead … the Yellow Jackets tied the game 4-4 scoring a run in the fifth and one in the sixth … Cedarville won the game 5-4 in the eighth inning on a fielders choice sacrifice bunt

Trevecca stays on the road for a pair of conference games on April 14th against Ohio Dominican University (24-15, 10-12). The doubleheader against Ohio Dominican will begin at 9 AM. Trevecca and Ohio Dominican will be meeting for the seventh time in the NCAA era. Trevecca is 6-0 against Ohio Dominican, but have not played them since 2016.
