[Softball] RedStorm cruises to sweep of CCU

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande parlayed a pair of quick starts into a doubleheader sweep of Cincinnati Christian, Sunday afternoon, in River States Conference softball action at Rio Softball Park.
    The RedStorm took game one from the Eagles, 8-2, before posting a five-inning mercy rule-shortened 11-3 triumph in the nightcap.
    Rio Grande finished the day at 17-8 overall and 4-0 in the RSC with the two victories.
    Cincinnati Christian, which was playing its first conference games of the season, dropped to 6-9 overall with the losses.
