[Softball] Threshers open KCAC action with a split DH against Bethany

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - After being on a two-week hiatus from competition, the Bethel softball team got back on Wedel Field earlier this afternoon. They played host to the Bethany Swedes, and were able to open their KCAC schedule by splitting the double-header. When the Threshers score runs this season, they come in large spurts, and that was the case in Game 1. After being tied up 2-2 through multiple innings, Bethel laid down four runs in the bottom of the fifth to eventually claim the 6-2 victory. Things slowed way down in Game 2, as both teams kept goose eggs going until the fifth inning. From there both teams traded runs scored, but ultimately Bethel came up short, 4-3.
