[Softball] Hot Season Rolls On for Vanguard

COSTA MESA, Calif. — A weekend of rain and games left No. 5-ranked Vanguard University excited to return to their home field. The Blue and Gold put conference action on hold to host Westminster College for a doubleheader under sunny skies. Vanguard's hot streak continued on as the Pride swept the Blue Jays on the day with two mercy-rule victories. Emily Hall, who had a hot day at the plate and hit the game sealing RBI single in the nightcap, said the team had a great day all around. "We're good at coming together and being there for each other no matter the circumstance," Hall noted. "It's all about family. We came off some great wins for conference which was really motivating." With the wins, Vanguard improves to 30-3 on the season. "It's a really big deal for us," Hall said of the season's strength. "We're working one day at a time to get better from where we are now."
